I don’t usually shoot family sessions, but I did this past weekend for an amazing family from Kansas. Chad and Shaina were up in Seattle for Chad’s graduation from Re:Train in Seattle. Chad recently planted a church in downtown Wichita and just officially finished his schooling, which is what brought their family up to Seattle. Shaina is an amazing photographer as well and contacted me about shooting their family photos while they were up here. These guys are legit and I was incredibly honored just to hang out with such an awesome family. Towards the end of the shoot I took Chad and Shaina away for a bit to grab some portraits of the two of them. You don’t have to be engaged or newly married to get portraits of love!

AU REVOIR, ADIOS, & CIAO // 2009
Maddie and I have been so incredibly blessed to have taken these photos. 2009 was a rad year and I’m looking forward to some more adventures in 2010.
Cheers, friends. Here are some of my faves.

SNOWDAY // SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA
Yesterday, my family decided against braving the crowds of black friday to get up to the mountains for some family photos. My mom LOVES snow and snowflakes, so the location was only natural. Here are a few of the photos.

We also took a little trip over to Snoqualmie Falls after lunch.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
KAYLA // TACOMA, WA
Kayla lives in Blaine, WA, a 2+ hour drive from Tacoma and a stones throw away from Canada. Regardless, she made the trek. Her favorite band is Metallica and she’s a cheerleader. Try to wrap your mind around that one…
