Such a fun time with some great people! It was an interesting wedding as well since Johanna is from Germany! Her and Mike will be moving to Amsterdam to live and work with YWAM. The wedding was a great mix of German and American traditions, here are my faves.

In keeping with German tradition, Mike and Johanna sat during the first part of the ceremony while Mike’s dad gave the message.

Such a touching part of the day when both father’s came up to pray for their children!

Another interesting Bavarian tradition is the cutting of a log as the first thing the newlyweds do after marriage.

Mike’s sister Amy [who's wedding we shot last spring] gave a really heartfelt toast during the reception.
